Favorite part of working at PBC:
I enjoy working with everyone on staff or volunteering. It is an amazing environment to come into every day. There is so much joy that fills the hallways and offices around here. I have made some awesome friendships that will always mean the world to me. Actually, to me, it’s more than that; I have an extended family now. No matter what life is throwing your way, someone is always there to lend you a shoulder or ear, encouraging word, or advice to get through it.

Something you have learned from being at PBC:
I came into Philadelphia at a hard time in my life (single mom of two beautiful kids). I was blessed to find out that there are amazing people here that want the best for you and that care for you like family. I was welcomed into the church family here with open arms and no judgement (both of which I desperately needed). I had never truly experienced God’s undoubting love and strength until I stared coming here.

Favorite Bible verse(s):
Too many to list but, I like these 3.

“This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary.” - Hebrews 6:19 NLT

“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you cannot see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye. Do not waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Do not throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.”  - Matthew 7:1-6 NLT

“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.”  - Matthew 5:13 NLT

Describe yourself using 3 words:
Funny, Outgoing, Upbeat

What are your hobbies:
I love being outdoors (riding horses, boating, swimming, fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, etc.) I also love drawing, painting, and photography.

Most people don’t know this about me:
I probably read more than I watch television. I love to read. Books are like a time machines. No matter where you are or what you’re experiencing in your life, you can always pick up a book and be transported into a new world or another time and place.

Also, I don’t like chocolate…
